Who is behind
Vanlisht Photography?
First of all, thank you for your interest in Vanlisht Photography and for visiting my website.
My name is Lukas Van Lishout, I am a photographer and travel agent based in South Africa and often found in the bush.
Every photograph on this website was taken by me. I believe in keeping images as natural as possible and avoid excessive editing. What you see is what I experienced in the wild. While I have a soft spot for the big cats, as you’ll notice in the gallery, my goal is always the same: to capture the raw beauty of the moment in front of me.
Over the past few years, I’ve also been organizing trips, safaris and journeys throughout Africa. Each itinerary is fully tailor-made and never predefined. Having travelled extensively across the continent, I love sharing my favorite places, experiences, and hidden gems with others who share the same sense of adventure.
Enjoy the site, and feel free to reach out if you’re interested in fine art prints or a personalized safari experience.
Always only one click away,
Lukas

My top 3 favorite safari destinations
Botswana’s Okavango Delta is one of the most pristine and biodiverse ecosystems on the planet, making it a must-see for any safari enthusiast. Picture yourself drifting through shimmering waterways, spotting elephants bathing in the delta's marshes, or watching predators stalk their prey across the floodplains. Whether you’re exploring the Kalahari Desert or cruising along the Chobe River, Botswana promises an unforgettable connection with nature.
BOTSWANA
South Africa is the ultimate safari destination for those seeking a mix of iconic landscapes and rich wildlife experiences. From the world-famous Kruger National Park to the lush Garden Route, this country offers an exciting diversity of wildlife, including the Big Five: lions, elephants, buffalo, leopards, and rhinos.
SOUTH AFRICA
Zambia is the birthplace of the walking safari, offering a chance to explore the African bush like never before. With fewer tourists and pristine national parks such as South Luangwa and Lower Zambezi, Zambia allows you to track animals on foot, guided by expert rangers. Imagine encountering a herd of elephants from a distance as you quietly approach through the brush, learning about the delicate balance of ecosystems.
